Our House!

 Our house has a foundation! After watching how fast the neighbor's house went up, we are hoping that our is the same way.

There are three window wells in the basement.

On another note....the puppy finally has a name! Gibson Leroy Howlett! 

Meet the newest member of our family!

This last weekend we looked into adopting another dog so that Moose would have another friend. We went to meet a Border Collie on Sunday. It was safe to say that Moose did not like that dog, which is weird because Moose generally likes anything that moves. So we decided that maybe going the puppy route may be better...On Monday night after work we drove up to Longmont, which is almost 2 hours away. We ended up with this little guy...

We don't have a name picked out for him yet. There are a few on the table. He is 9 weeks old. He is part German Short-haired Pointer,  and part lab. He looks way more like a lab to me.

Moose is very patient with him, and very willing to share his things. When he gets fed up, he just walks away from him. The new puppy's favorite thing is to attack Moose's tail, and pull fur out of it. Poor Moose. Sometimes he doesn't understand that the puppy is so much smaller than he is, and tries to play a little bit too rough.

Puppies are very high maintenance, especially this one. He is extremely clingy. When we put him in the bathroom at night he barks and howls all night...safe to say we are tired.  

Update on our House!

We went to check out our lot today, and it is no longer a mound of dirt...There is a hole! I am not quite sure if they are done digging the foundation or not, but we are excited to see the progress they make this next week.

I know it doesn't look like much, but there really is a hole there.

Well I have finally decided to try and start a blog to keep family and friends better updated about what is going on in our lives. I am slowly trying to get off of Facebook because it ends up taking up too much of my time when I have plenty of other things I should be doing. 

To briefly catch some of you up about what is going on in our life...

The last couple of weeks Michael has been gone doing a field exercise...He hopefully should be home in a week or so. Moose and I have been doing a lot of snuggling since he has been gone. We really miss him. 

In the next few months we have some pretty exiting events happening.  In May, I graduate from Nursing school, and in the middle of June Michael gets out of the Army. The last few years have been a challenge with school and with Michael being gone so often doing Army things. We feel like we will be starting a new chapter in our lives, and we are so excited!

We are also in the process of buying a house! It is not built yet, but they will be starting it sometime this month (hopefully), and then it should be done in the end of June. It has been really fun so far to be able to pick colors and different features that we would like in the house.

 That mound of dirt will eventually be our new house.

I know that this isn't the best picture, but I wasn't about to get out in the snow/rain and wind.
